North American team FlyQuest Challengers has locked its roster for the 2024 North American Challengers League (NACL). According to Sheep Esports sources, the team has reached agreements with top laner Srtty, jungler Sheiden, mid laner Quad, bot laner sajed, and support Chime.

Top - Jett Michael "Srtty" Joye

Srtty, who originally had a verbal agreement with Evil Geniuses in the LCS, unfortunately found himself in a challenging situation upon learning the team's departure from the LCS. Left without a home late into the off-season, the player has had to re-evaluate his approach heading into the coming year.

Fortunately, being a promising rookie, the player has now found himself a home on FlyQuest. Joining the team's Challengers roster in the NACL, the soon-to-be 22-year-old top laner will be spending more time in the region's developmental circuit. Per sources, FLY was one of the most attractive teams of this off-season due to its connection to an LCS team; they are expected to perform well next year.

On the brink of joining the LCS stage, Srtty has already proved himself as a strong prospect last year. In the summer of 2023, he competed in Evil Geniuses Challengers and reached the NACL's grand finals. Unfortunately, the team faltered in their last match, losing to Disguised with a 1 : 3 score.

Jungle - Jade "Sheiden" Libut

Similarly, Sheiden had also unfortunately struck a verbal agreement to play in the LCS for Evil Geniuses next year. Falling back onto the lower circuits, he has now found himself a promising offer among one of the best teams in the NACL, where he will be paired with Srtty.

A solid contender for the coming year, FlyQuest Challengers is assuring itself a strong top-side through these two signings. Armed with plenty of promising prospects, the team is now poised to enter the coming year with a duo which should easily make heads turn.

Most recently, Sheiden competed for EG for about half a split in the LCS. Despite not having been given a full shot yet, the player showed stints of promise for the future after having been thrown in a team in the middle of its season. Finishing in 3rd place of the summer split, the team unfortunately fell apart in the playoffs, losing against Team Liquid by a 1 : 3 score to end in shared 5th place.

Mid - Song "Quad" Su-hyeong

Hailing from South Korea, Quad is set to venture outside his home region for the first time in his career. Competing with Nongshim RedForce in the LCK last year, the player struggled in what is one of the most competitive regions in the world. Coming out of retirement earlier this year, the player is highly anticipated in the league for his strong results on the South Korean ranked ladder.

Known for his Cassiopeia, the player also formerly known as SOLKA, remains a strong prospect of the LCK. Remembered for his time in DRX, the player learned under the guidance of Chovy, whom he replaced all the way back in 2020 and 2021. Regardless of his recent results, Quad is expected to be a strong contender in the NACL and could very well make his way to the LCS later this year.

Bot - Sajed "sajed" Ziade

Unknown to most North American fans, sajed is set to represent the team's wildcard heading into the next season. Hoping to strike gold, FlyQuest decided to bet on the future of a relatively untested rookie for its carry position. At only 19-year-old, the bot laner is set to debut in the NACL for the first time in what is one of the most prestigious teams in the league.

With only some amateur tournament experience and a year of competing for LiT Esports in NACL qualifiers, the young player will now be tested on the LCS' developmental circuit in 2024. Demonstrating his skills in the few tournaments he competed in as well as on the ranked ladder, sajed is expected to be an interesting prospect for the coming season.

Support - Jonathan "Chime" Pomponio

One of the most experienced players on the team's roster, Chime will be entering the team with plenty of experience under his belt. Most known for competing under the banner of TSM in recent times, the player has now had four splits in the LCS, counting one with Golden Guardians. Despite decent performances in the league, Chime was unable to find an LCS offer for the coming year, something which may have been influenced by the league's downgrading to 8 teams.

Joining FlyQuest Challengers, the support player will now have to fight his way back up by competing for one of the most promising rosters in the NACL. Though he has not had success in the region yet, Chime should now have racked up enough experience to bring his career to the next level, and he is expected to be a great pairing with the rookie bot laner sajed.

FlyQuest For 2024

Staying committed to the NACL, FlyQuest is one of the few remaining LCS teams investing in North America's developmental circuit. Aimed at showcasing emerging talent, the team is set to be a formidable force in both of the region's leagues this year. In the past, the team has been known to have cultivated strong upcoming rookies, such as Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek most recently, who was promoted to the league's main roster.

Sources indicate that the team had a lengthy try-out period before settling on this roster. Having considered various players, the team eventually ended up on the aforementioned line-up with the goal of creating a strong roster which could rival in its LCS team. FlyQuest currently aims to have the two teams be scrim partners and hopes to bolster both of them in the process. With Max "Raqo" Temminck as head coach, the team seems set for success in 2024.
