For the first time in his career, NoWay will be competing outside of the German-speaking scene.
Continuing the recent trend of content creators joining the 2025 NLC season, midlaner Frederik “NoWay” Hinteregger is set to team up with Lucas "Santorin" Tao Kilmer Larsen at NORD Esports, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. This will be the German Aimbot's first competitve endeavour outside the DACH region following a long career in the German-speaking competitive scene with historic organizations such as mousesports, EURONICS Gaming, and ad hoc gaming.
NoWay and NORD Esports had a pre-existing relationship as the latter helped organize the NNO Cup.
A Story of Success
After leaving the ad hoc gaming Gentlemen’s Club in May 2020, NoWay joined fellow content creators to revive former German team No Need Orga four months later. The project became one of the most notable success stories in the German esports scene with notable results including winning Prime League Division 2 in Summer 2022 and promoting into Division 1 shortly after.
Following their promotion, the organization decided to rebuild with an entirely new roster under the name NNO Prime. NoWay and his teammates from Division 2 continued to compete in lower level DACH and other third-party tournaments under the name NNO Old. One of their recent big moments includes defeating T1 in a showmatch at the “Red Bull League of Its Own” tournament.
Rise of the NLC
The latest roster reports in the NLC have turned more than just a few heads. After the entrance of Los Ratones into the NLC, as previously reported by Sheep Esports, the league continues to be the hub for content creators and former all-star pros to team up and draw in both new and old fans of EU. Alongside NoWay and Santorin, NORD Esports reportedly aims to fill out the roster with former LEC pros.
Midlaner Pengcheng "Peng" Shen was another candidate for the midlane position had NoWay not joined the organization.
