Roberto “Mazino” Bugueño is coming home. According to Sheep Esports sources, the Chilean player has reached a verbal agreement with KRÜ Esports, in VCT Americas. The 23-year-old launched his career with Sergio Agüero’s club at the beginning of 2021, spending two seasons there.

He played in the former local version of the VCT - the VCT Latin America South - and qualified for all possible international competitions. The former CS:GO player achieved his best result on the international stage with the Argentinian team at the VALORANT Champions 2021 in Berlin. Mazino and his team were eliminated in the semi-finals of the tournament.

In 2023, Mazino joined Leviatan alongside his compatriot Angelo “keznit” Mori, as 5th and 6th player respectively. Keznit eventually returned to KRÜ for 2024. This time, it is Mazino's turn to return. His first season with Leviatan was a disappointment overall. The club finished 5th in the VCT Americas and missed out on the two international events of the year.

2024 VCT Americas Stage 2 Winner

In 2024, the Harbor and Breach player gradually returned to the spotlight, thanks in part to the arrival of the star player Erick “aspas” Santos. After a complicated Kick-Off at the beginning of the year, Leviatan finished 3rd in Stage 1 of the VCT Americas, before winning Stage 2. The club was therefore one of the favorites for Champions 2024 and finished in 3rd place, losing in the Lower Bracket Final to Spain's Team Heretics.

Ten days after his elimination, Mazino announced on X that an extension at Leviatan was currently under discussion, but that the club had allowed him to explore his options. The player then said he was ready to join any region, but finally returned to his roots.
