After leaving Macko Esports last month, FlickeR has found a new team.
Rodrigo "FlickeR" de Oliveira, previously ADC for Macko Esports in the LIT, is set to join Geekay Esports, the reigning Arabian League champions. Despite winning the LIT in Winter, Macko Esports left the league in late March, citing mismanagement, and paused their participation in the League of Legends scene moving forward. Immediately after an EMEA Masters appearance, FlickeR was forced to search for a new team.
Geekay has been a dominant force in Arabian LoL for years — last year, the team achieved a top-four finish at the Spring EM and won the Summer Split. The team consistently places at the top of the league; this Winter's trophy was the third in its cabinet. In FlickeR, the team is gaining a uniquely experienced talent.
Until his split with Macko, FlickeR had played under six different banners across five different ERL systems: GTZ Esports in the Portuguese LPLOL, Lotus Gaming in the Spanish Ultraliga Division 2, Team 7AM in the Belgian-Dutch Elite Series, Verdant in the NLC's Pro-AM, Lupus Esports and Partizan Esports in the Balkan EBL. Out of those, he won the Ultraliga Div 2, Elite Series, Aurora Cup, and EBL regular season — despite only starting his pro career in 2022, he's built a pretty array of championships across leagues.
FlickeR is set to make his debut with Geekay in the Arabian league on April 9th against Nigma Galaxy.
