R7 has already locked three of its players for the upcoming season.
Team Rainbow7 is set to be the Liga Latinoamérica (LLA) representative in the North Conference of the Americas League, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. They will be the only LLA team in the North Conference.
In addition to this, R7 is set to merge with Six Karma, another Latin American organization.
Movistar R7, formerly known as Rainbow7 and founded by Carlos 'Biblos' Gibran, is a Latin American esports organization that has been a top name in the LLA since 2013. Their most recent international appearance was in the 2024 Worlds Play-Ins. As one of the strongest organizations in the LLA, they've achieved multiple 1st-place finishes and have represented the region internationally several times.
Rainbow7's likely 2025 Roster
R7 are well into their offseason and have reached agreements with the following players, according to Sheep Esports sources:
The toplaner Eric "Licorice" Ritchie has reached a verbal agreement with the team, coming off a middling year with Team Dignitas (DIG). Despite flashes of hope in the latter half of the summer split, DIG finished 5th place in the end — unable to harness their collective experience, they failed to qualify for Worlds 2024. The organization went all-in on a veteran roster coming into summer but were unable to build consistency throughout the summer split. Licorice now faces a new challenge with a team that’s new to the league.
The team's Americas debut jungler is set to be Sebastián "Oddie" Alonso, who has been with the organization since 2021. Oddie has been a key part of their success both domestically and internationally, and is looking to continue building his legacy under the R7 banner.
Lastly, their support is set to be Pedro Luis "Lyonz" Peralta. Since Lyonz’s arrival in 2023, R7 has only finished 1st place — except in the LLA Opening 2024, where they finished 2nd place to Estral. He will continue on his journey on R7 looking for more victories and international events.
Rainbow7’s move to the North Conference as the LLA representative adds a fresh face to the league. Only time will tell how they — and the new guest slot team — will fare against the best the LCS has to offer. As 2025 nears, Sheep Esports will continue to provide the latest coverage of the upcoming LoL Esports season.
