Midlaner Aljoša 'Milica' Kovandžić is set to return to professional play. The former LEC player has reached a verbal agreement with Partizan Esports in the Esports Balkan League.
A long career
Milica started his career many years ago in small regional teams. In 2017, he was part of the KlikTech team that upset many and qualified for the EU Masters Spring playoffs. Following this success, Milica played in stronger ERLs, eventually leading him to join Team Vitality in 2020.
With Vitality in the LEC, Milica achieved really poor results, but that wasn't facilitated by the fact that the Serbian Midlaner was plagued by visa issues. This led him to not play on time in the LEC and have suboptimal practice conditions.
Eventually, Milica joined Partizan Esports in 2022, where he and the team achieved average results. Both parties moved on from each other the next year.
A return to Partizan Esports
For the upcoming Summer Split, Milica will return to his former organization. Last spring, Partizan Esports achieved the worst result in their history, finishing eighth place with a score of 1-13. A result for which the organization apologized.
The Serbian club, which promised to redeem itself, is revamping its complete roster this offseason. While Milica is their first piece, the team is competing for players who are trying out in some of the top regional leagues.
The organization that qualified twice for EU Masters in the past is looking to do so once again this Summer.
