The newly promoted German club begins its offseason. According to Sheep Esports sources, Midlaner Adam “Random” Grepl has reached a verbal agreement with Kaufland Hangry Knights (KHK) for the upcoming Prime League season. The organization is also set to continue the adventure with its support, Benjamin Ruberg “Visdom” Larsen. Both players have much experience in the European League of Legends scene.

Five Hitpoint Masters titles

The Czech Midlaner made his competitive debut in 2017. In particular, he has amassed five Hitpoints Masters titles, some of which under Tomáš “Nightshare” Kněžínek, Fnatic's current Head Coach. More recently, he reached the Superliga final twice in Spring 2022 and Summer 2023, alongside MAD Lions KOI toplaner Alex “Myrwn” Villarejo. In 2024, Random was playing for Movistar KOI in the MDK academy, still in LVP. After a disappointing Spring Split (6th), he finished on the podium in the Summer (3rd) and played in the Last Chance Qualifier of the Summer EMEA Masters. Random was the third best midlaner of the Summer regular season in LVP according to Sheep Stats' rating, with a score of 66/100.

Visdom has been around even longer, having started his career in 2014. As early as 2015, he competed in a tournament in Denmark with none other than Rasmus “Caps” Winther in the midlane. Between 2020 and 2021, Visdom played botlane alongside another former G2 Esports player, Petter “Hjarnan” Freyschuss, who later became his Head Coach at KHK in 2024. Visdom also briefly wore the Samurai colors, serving as G2’s substitute between January and April 2017.

KHK continue their ascent

With the Hangry Knights, Visdom enjoyed a rollercoaster season in the German 2nd Division. The club finished 3rd in the Spring Split playoffs and, after dominating the Summer regular season, collapsed in the playoffs. KHK lost both matches and again finished in 3rd place. The club thus narrowly qualified for the promotion tournament, only five points ahead of DKB Xperion NXT for the year as a whole. After beating MOUZ NXT in the Up&Down lower bracket, the club toppled two-time defending 2nd Division champion Spinebusters E-Sport to book their ticket to the top division.

KHK's ascent is continuing apace. They started out in the 3rd division in 2022 and were promoted at the end of that first year. After two years in the 2nd division, they are finally in the Prime League. Visdom is already well acquainted with the German top flight. He played four seasons with GamerLegion between 2020 and 2023. He also won the 2022 Spring Split before being relegated at the end of the 2023 Summer.
