Lizia is one of the most crowned toplaners in the WNB scene
Following a year of modest results in the Prime League and the Equal Esports Cup, SK Gaming Avarosa have made a major move in the WNB transfer market. As the 2025 season looms, the German organization has reached a verbal agreement with former G2 Hel toplaner Olivia “Lizia” Calistus. A samurai since 2022, she has been an instrumental part of her former team's strong performances over the last two years.
In 2024 alone, G2 Hel reached all three finals of major competitions in the women’s and non-binary scene, securing trophies in the Coupe des Étoiles and the Storm Takeover, while finishing as runner-ups in the Equal Esports Cup with Lizia in the top lane. Although the squad struggled in the mixed scene, finishing last in both the NLC 2nd Division and the Svenska Onlineligan, Lizia and her team still managed to achieve some of the best results any team in the scene could, most notably winning the CDE Finals in Paris, widely regarded as one of the most significant tournaments of the circuit.
Homecoming and New Horizons
Having remained loyal to G2 Esports for more than two years, Lizia is now embarking on a new journey, much to the dismay of her former home. Per sources, though Lizia wasn't one of G2's first options this off-season, the organization hoped to retain the Swedish talent after the team's key prospects fell through early on. Now, the squad faces setbacks in its roster-building efforts, as Lizia, along with other players, declined to join the ranks of G2 Hel. With a rather small pool of available toplaners in the women’s scene, particularly following the retirement of SK’s former solo laner Sarah “Sanah” Breton, G2 Esports now find themselves in a tough spot, struggling to secure a suitable replacement.
A specialist on champions like K’Sante, Gnar, and Rumble, the toplaner is no stranger to SK Gaming Avarosa. She previously spent time with the team between October 2021 and May 2022, participating in a bootcamp alongside Eve “Colomblbl” Monvoisin—her now former teammate at G2 Hel—though she did not compete officially during that stint. As a bonus fact, Lizia announced on Friday, November 22nd, that she got engaged to toplaner Janik “JNX” Bartels, who will also make his way to SK Gaming in 2025, as previously reported by Sheep Esports.
