Polish rifler Krzysztof "Goofy" Górski is set to put himself on the inactive roster of ENCE in order to take a break from competitive play. He didn’t have to stay for long in the roster to compete in the ESL Pro League as ENCE are the first eliminated team of the Group C, after their defeat against ATOX, 93th team in the World, in the Last Chance Bracket. Having joined the team in 2024 after numerous roster shuffles led ENCE to acquire 9INE core of Kacper "Kylar" Walukiewicz, Aleksander "hades" Miśkiewicz and himself, he has decided to bench himself during the ESL Pro League, intended on staying for the competition and leaving afterwards. This decision relies solely on his shoulders and not ENCE’s, this will mean that after more than 2 years of partnership, Goofy and Kylar will no longer play together.

It is not surprising to see changes in ENCE’s roster with the major difficulties the roster has faced these last months, including this very ESL Pro League where the team has failed to showcase strong teamplay. Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev, one of the team’s riflers, had said on a now-deleted post on his Telegram that “We are waiting for changes, what to do guys, such is life”, as reported by HLTV. It was thus certain that the roster would see modifications in the aftermath of the Pro League.

This will put ENCE once again on a position where they need to look for a player to field a roster after they already had benched Paweł "dycha" Dycha and hades during the year. The 4 polish + gla1ve team that had a good IEM Katowice run, finishing 6th after notable wins over Vitality and G2, now belongs in the past with Kylar and his leader being the last parts of this roster still active in ENCE.

A shrouded future for Goofy

Due to his role and his positions, Goofy has never been the star player of his team. In 91NE, he was almost always above 1.10 rating in lower-tier events and was many times in the green in big events such as IEM Rio 2023 where he secured a 1.11 overall rating. After he had joined ENCE, he started the year well, with a 1.04 rating in Katowice - an average largely diminished by the stomp ENCE suffered against MOUZ - he then would often sit at the second place of his team in the stats.

However, after ENCE benched two of their polish players and went fully international, Goofy’s position was weakened, and his rating would suffer, dropping to a 0.95 average for the last 3 months as of today, 0,10 below his 2023 rating. As ENCE was crumbling as a team, there was little room for Goofy to stand out, it is clear that the finnish organization is on a transition phase and that Goofy doesn’t feel like being part of it. Since ENCE’s results have dropped, it is unlikely Goofy could get back into a strong Tier 1 team quickly, his future options should be situated in European Tier 2 or in the Polish scene.
