The ex-GameWard top laner moves to the LVP SuperLiga.
Top laner Lucas "Badlulu" Piochaud has reached a verbal agreement with Case Esports to join the LVP SuperLiga, according to Sheep Esports sources. The organization owned by Brazilian football player Casemiro recently secured a spot in the LVP SL's 1st Division through the region's promotion tournament.
A shot at redemption in 2024
Despite a challenging start to Badlulu's off-season, the 21-year-old French player has found a place on a star-studded roster for the 2024 season. As reported by Sheep Esports earlier last week, the player also received interests from Karmine Corp Academy, Team GO, and other LFL teams, before ultimately settling with CASE.
In 2023, the French player competed for GameWard, finishing in 6th place during the spring split and ultimately landing in 10th place during the summer split for the second time in the player's career.
This agreement marks the top laner's first venture outside of the LFL, as he had previously exclusively competed in French teams. After two consecutive years of difficult results in the LFL, Badlulu now seeks redemption in another accredited ERL.
A rising threat in the SuperLiga
According to reports from Eros, the organization recently acquired several high-profile members last month, including the former LEC/LCS coach André "Guilhoto" Pereira Guilhoto. Other reports also revealed that the team is also looking to lock-in jungler Magnus "MAXI" Kristensen and support Rúben "Rhuckz" Barbosa who will reunite after previously competing together for Fnatic TQ where they earned themselves the title of Spring 2022 SL champions.
While the team has not yet reached an agreement with an AD Carry for their roster, sources have informed our reporters that they are looking to renew their agreements with the mid laner Javier "Javier" Carmona Garcia.
With the current projected roster of CASE, the team is shaping up to be a strong contender for the 2024 season, showing a strong desire to make an impact in their first split in the 1st Division after failing to secure promotion at the start of 2023.
Always considered one of France's strongest SoloQ top laners, Badlulu now aims to prove himself in a new environment and translate impressive individual performances into success in a professional setting.
