Andariel had a difficult first season outside of Turkey
Mert "Andariel" Kılıç is extending his stay in Spain, as the Turkish AD Carry has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with UCAM Esports for the upcoming Superliga (LVP) season, according to Sheep Esports sources. However, his participation hinges on the renewal of his visa. Andariel's first season abroad was challenging. After spending three years in the Turkish Championship League (TCL), the 20-year-old player joined BIG in Germany for the Spring 2024 split as a top prospect, but the team finished 9th in the Prime League.
He then moved to Rebels Gaming in the summer for the LVP, where the team ended the season in last place, with a dismal record of two wins and 16 losses. Andariel struggled throughout the split, and according to Sheep Stats, he was ranked as the league's worst AD Carry, with a rating of 49/100. To date, Andariel has never come close to winning a title, with his best result being a fourth-place finish in the 2023 TCL Winter Split with Beşiktaş Esports.
First shot at the EMEA Masters?
Because of his setbacks, Andariel has yet to compete in the EMEA Masters, but that could change at UCAM. The Spanish club has a history of qualifying for the tournament, which brings together the best regional Tier 2 teams. UCAM had a decent 2024 season, finishing 5th in the Spring Split and 4th in the Summer Split. They even made it to the EMEA Masters Summer edition, though they were eliminated in the Last Chance Qualifier by NORD Esports, missing out on the Main Event.

Since 2017, UCAM Esports have struggled to consistently compete at the top of the Superliga. Despite a standout 2021 season and a respectable showing in 2024, the organization has often found itself near the bottom of the standings. In both 2022 and 2023, UCAM had to fight to retain their spot in the LVP through the promotion/relegation tournament. Andariel will now look to turn his fortunes around and help UCAM solidify their position in the Superliga while aiming for his first shot at the EMEA Masters.
