Formerly in MAD Lions, UNF0RGIVEN & Armut Reunite
Botlaner William "UNF0RGIVEN" Nieminen has reached a verbal agreement with Papara SuperMassive in the TCL (Turkish Championship League). This information told by sources close to Sheep Esports confirms the return of the Swedish AD Carry to professional play.
Over the course of the offseason, UNF0RGIVEN was also in talks with SK Gaming. Additionally, he was also part of the Karmine Corp tryouts, but the team is now expected to keep Upset. However, as both options fell off, Unforgiven decided to join the TCL Champions.
Papara SuperMassive are making several changes to their roster this offseason. On top of Unforgiven, the team has already found a new support and is trying to find a new midlaner.
A reunion with Armut
In 2022, İrfan Berk "Armut" Tükek and MAD Lions welcomed UNF0RGIVEN to their team after Carzzy's (first) departure to Vitality. While the team couldn't match their previous year's success, Unforgiven still managed to qualify all the way to Worlds.
After a disappointing worlds run and failure to qualify for the main stage, both Armut and Unforgiven ended up playing in different NA teams. But it didn't take long for Armut to join Papara SuperMassive in May 2023 eventually.
One year later, Armut's former teammate is joining Papara SuperMassive as the Turkish organization is revamping their roster. SuperMassive found some decent success this spring following a 3-2 victory against Beşiktaş Esports in a reverse sweep that earned them the TCL trophy. However, the team failed to translate this success at EMEA Masters. Armut and his team's run ended in the group stage with a score of 1-5.
With a new botside, Papara SuperMassive will be looking to repeat its national success and extend it further with UNF0RGIVEN at the EMEA Masters next summer. Armut and Duncan "Skeanz" Marquet are expected to remain on the team.
