Xizt in advanced negotations for the head coach position
<Coach and former player Richard "Xizt" Landström is in advanced negotiations with Swedish organization Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP), according to Sheep Esports sources. If the deal goes through, he is expected to fill the position of Head Coach of the team's Counter-Strike 2 roster. Previously, the Swedish coach was most known for his time with Heroic, whom he competed with since the end of 2021.
New Beginnings
After parting ways with Heroic last December, the Swedish coach has since then been on the lookout for a new home. This move will mark Xizt's return to Ninjas in Pyjamas, an organization in which the player previously competed between 2012 and 2018. During their glory days, the Swedish player and his team competed in several major tournaments, even winning some of them. Now re-united with his former team, Xizt is expected to be a strong asset for Ninjas in Pyjamas.
On the other hand, after being eliminated from the RMR Group A qualifier last month, NIP has had its fair share of struggles recently. The team is currently in the process of making several changes to its roster, notably through the benching of Kristian “konfig” Wienecke, Patrick “es3tag” Hansen, Daniil “headtr1ck” Valitov, and head coach Daniel “djL” Narancic.
Currently, sources indicate that Linus “nilo” Bergman is among the top candidates who could join the new NIP line-up.
