Following a 1-split hiatus, the Polish jungler joins FLY
Jungler Kacper "Inspired" Słoma has reached a verbal agreement with FlyQuest to re-join the League Championship Series (LCS), according to Sheep Esports sources.
The former LCS and LEC MVP, the storied jungler will be stepping in to replace Mingyi "Spica" Lu, whose future in the LCS is currently unknown at the time of writing this article.
Showcasing Greatness with Inspired
One of the West's most storied players, Inspired is looking to re-iterate his past exploits as he now joins FlyQuest for the 2024 Season. Despite a difficult year in 2023, the Polish jungler is now looking to soar back up as he looks to replace Mingyi "Spica" Lu. According to sources close to Sheep Esports, the team also considered Linas "Lyncas" Nauncikas to fill in the position of jungler.
Last year, Inspired competed under the banner of Evil Geniuses in the Spring Split, during which the team came out in 4th place, losing to Golden Guardians who would eventually represent North America at the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational. Later, the player would find himself removed from EG's starting roster and would spend a one-split hiatus in summer.
In a similar fashion, FlyQuest started off their year strong in 2023, finishing 2nd in the spring group stage and 3rd in the playoffs, narrowly missing out on an MSI appearance. However, the second half of 2023 saw FlyQuest's fortunes take a nosedive, culminating in a catastrophic 9th place finish.
With this move, FLY has locked the first member of their new roster for the upcoming year, indicating that more changes might be on the horizon for the North American team.
Update: FlyQuest has also reached a verbal agreement with Massu, promoting the young rookie to their LCS starting line-up.
