Coach Simon "fredy122" Payne has reached a verbal agreement with Infinite Reality to renew his contract with the organization's LoL EMEA Championship (LEC) team, according to Sheep Esports sources. While its branding is still uncertain, it is expected to be revealed officially soon.

A Leading Figure
One of the unsung heroes of the LEC, fredy122 has been coaching Rogue/KOI ever since its entry into the EMEA region. Together, the two parties have attended three out of four possible World Championships together and have won the regional league once in summer of 2022. Despite not having many trophies in its repertoire, under the Rogue banner, the organization has been known as one of the most successful in the LEC for the past few years.
Re-joining the team, fredy122 will once more work with Emil "Larssen" Larsson, Infinite Reality's franchise mid laner, who reportedly renewed his agreements with the team earlier this month. The Swedish player made his debut in the league during the summer of 2019 and stands as the organization's longest-tenured player. He has been working with fredy122 since the organization's inaugural year in the LEC.
Accompanied with new promising additions such as the now seasoned jungler Mark "Markoon" van Woensel, and the rookie support Théo "Zoelys" Le Scornec, the team is set to begin with new bases in 2024 as it hopes to improve on its past results and reach new highs in the league.
Infinite Possibilities
Initially owned by parent company ReKTGlobal, the team has met difficulties since the organization's $470 million acquisition by Infinite Reality in July of 2022. Despite joining forces with Spanish organization KOI led by Ibai Llanos for the 2023 season, the team has easily met its most tumultuous season in a long time.
Though Infinite Reality has successfully assembled a promising roster for 2024, doubts still linger over the organization and its distant future in the LEC. For now, the future of the team seems to have stabilized, with its branding set to be revealed soon. Per sources, it is most likely expected that Infinite Reality will simply revert back to the previous Rogue brand following its separation from KOI.
