He is one of the first players to win the World Championship and also has an in-game skin in his honor: FNC Gragas
On Monday, members of Maciej "Shushei" Ratuszniak’s family announced that the former midlaner passed away at the age of 36 after a battle with cancer. Shushei was crowned world champion with Fnatic at the very first League of Legends World Championship in 2011, where he was also named MVP of the finals. His legacy inspired an entire generation of players and will always hold a special place in the history of the League of Legends community.
A legend of the game
The entire community is mourning the loss of a true legend of the game, and many teams have paid tribute to the Polish midlaner. He will forever be remembered by the fans and players he inspired. Known for his iconic Gragas play, Shushei is also forever immortalized in the game through the FNC Gragas skin, celebrating his victory at the 2011 World Championship.
In 2011, Shushei won the Intel Extreme Masters in Hanover with MyRevenge before joining Fnatic, with whom he would go on to win the very first World Championship, where he was named Finals MVP. He later claimed the IEM Season 6 title in New York and parted ways with Fnatic in 2012 and joined EloHell.
Shushei then founded DragonBorns with his longtime friend after their departure from EloHell, and competed in the very first edition of the EU LCS in 2013 before retiring from professional play later that same year. Sheep Esports extends its deepest condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, legend.
