KCB and IJC accessed the top 4 of the league, while Solary and BK ROG will face each other to qualify
After three weeks of competition, we know the first two teams qualified for the Playoffs finals of the LFL 2025 Flash In. The Swiss Stage has delivered its first verdict, with Ici Japon Corp (IJC) and Karmine Corp Blue (KCB) securing their spots as the first teams to advance. They will face off next Wednesday in the first round of the playoffs in a Best of 5.
Already under pressure
IJC flexed their muscles. Led by Theo "Theocacs" Sauda, who shined on Wukong and Nocturne in the last two games, and Lee "Hans SamD" Jae-hoon, who never hesitates to go all-in, BK ROG only managed to put up a fight in the first game before being completely outclassed.
KCB secured a 2-0 victory in a derby that took an unexpected turn. For the first time in LFL history, these two legendary organizations—known for their intense rivalry—faced off in a Best of 3. While the final score was decisive, it didn’t reflect the explosive nature of both games. Solary had control early in each match, seemingly in command of their destiny, only to be overturned twice in dramatic comebacks. But these weren’t mere coincidences—KCB fought relentlessly, proving that in modern League of Legends, resilience and grit can still turn the tide. However, despite the dominant score in their favor, Thomas "3XA" Foucou had trash-talked Solary’s level in an OTP interview before even knowing he would face them. He then ended up getting solo killed twice by his opponent, Belan "TakeSet" Ahour—fueling the rivalry between the two clubs even further.
We had already highlighted it after the early eliminations of Vitality.Bee and Joblife yesterday: the format of this first LFL split is unforgiving, leaving little room for mistakes. With KCB and IJC now qualified, their direct opponents are sent into a do-or-die match. Following the post-match draw, Solary and BK ROG will clash at 18:00 CET, while Galions and Gentle Mates will face off in another Best of 3, played under fearless draft rules.
