Maks "kamyk" Rychlewski was one of the best players of 2024 in VALORANT’s Tier 2 EMEA scene. As a result, the Polish player has been rightfully rewarded, reaching a verbal agreement to join Team Liquid at the higher level, in VCT EMEA, according to Sheep Esports sources. With Joblife, kamyk had an almost flawless season, winning both Splits in the VCL France.

Moreover, the flex player—primarily an Initiator—achieved the highest 2.0 rating in Split 1 (1.27). He was named “MVP of the week” three times during his year in the French league. However, kamyk's stellar season with Joblife came to a sudden halt. Despite entering the Ascension EMEA tournament with hopes of securing promotion to VCT EMEA, the French champions were hindered by technical issues, which ultimately cost them a spot in the playoffs.

Kamyk follows his Head Coach

Kamyk isn't the only one departing Joblife for Team Liquid. Ivo "LohaN" Albino, Joblife's Head Coach in 2024, will also join the VCT EMEA 2023 champions, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. Kamyk is no stranger to the top-tier local competition, having already played at the highest regional level as a substitute for Fnatic in 2023. He filled in for Emir “Alfajer” Beder during two regular-season BO3s, giving him five games of experience.

Unlike their new player, Liquid has struggled to meet expectations this year. Their attempt to rebuild around former Apeks players fell short. In 2024, Liquid were eliminated in the first round of the Stage 1 playoffs and didn’t make it past the group stage in Stage 2. Consequently, the team missed out on participating in any international events throughout the season.
