Dutch mid laner rejoins the SuperLiga for the first time since 2021.
Mid Laner Joran "Special" Scheffer has reached a verbal agreement with Rebels Gaming to join the LVP SuperLiga under the condition that the player is not presented with any LEC or LCS offers, according to Sheep Esports sources. The Spanish organization also considered other options like Emre "Kofte" Akça and Tolga "Serin" Ölmez.
Last Piece for the Rebels
With this move, Rebels Gaming aims to secure their last starting player and finalize their plans for the upcoming 2024 season. According to sources, the organization initially tried to sign Adam "Random" Grepl, but they eventually exhausted all of their resources and could not reach a deal with the Czech mid laner. He was recently reported to have verbally agreed to join Movistar Riders instead.
According to reports by blix.gg, RBLS is currently expected to renew their agreements with top laner Miłosz "R4VEN" Domagalski, jungler Kirill "AHaHaCiK" Skvortsov, and AD Carry Louis "BEAN" Schmitz. The organization is also seeking to replace their former support, kibah, with Alexander "Lekcyc" Leksikov.
Over the past two years, Special has competed for the renowned German organization Eintracht Spandau in the Prime League. Throughout his time there, the player's performances have varied, ranging from a 2nd-place finish in spring of 2022 to a 6th-place finish in the spring split of 2023. Just earlier this month, EINS secured a 2nd place finish in the Prime Pokal (Pro-Am tournament).
