Top laner Onurcan "Ragner" Aslan has reached a verbal agreement with Gentle Mates in the LFL, sources tell Sheep Esports on Tuesday.

Note that this agreement states that Ragner is still allowed to accept offers in the LCS and LEC. However, despite some talks, this seems unlikely at the moment. Top lane isn't expected to see much movement this LEC off-season.

A pillar in the Top Lane

Earlier this month, a new French organization, founded by renowned content creators Squeezie, Gotaga, and Brawks, was reported by Sheep Esports to be joining the LFL. Replacing LDLC OL, this young organization is expected to face large expectations as they enter the 2024 season.

Through this move, Ragner is set to be reuniting his former teammate Jérémy "Eika" Valdenaire in the midlane, as reported by Sheep Esports previously. Together, the two players had a great 2022 season, lifting both LFL trophies with LDLC OL that year.

For LFL fans, Ragner needs no introduction. After a dominant tenure under LDLC OL, he has consistently impressed French fans, proving to be a cornerstone for his previous teams. Ragner now sets his sights on earning his first EMEA Masters title and rising back to the top of the LFL.

After a successful year with Team GO, the 22-year-old player now finds himself in his third LFL team, aiming to make this tenure the most successful one in his ERL career yet.

Despite struggling to find LEC offers, Ragner was highly sought after by ERL teams during this off-season. His former team, Team GO, had even made him an offer in an attempt to keep the player for another year before he decided on joining Gentle Mates.
