IJC and VITB face off tonight for the perfect 4-0 week
There are now three teams at the top of the standings in the LFL Spring Split. Solary and Joblife bounced back after their defeats the day before, while Vitality.Bee continues their incredible super week. Ici Japon Corp is also undefeated this week, proving that last week’s two losses at the LFL Days were a rough start to a tough Spring Split. As for Karmine Corp Blue, they fell once again—this time to Joblife, arguably the biggest surprise of this early split. The reigning champions now have more losses than wins, a trend they’ll need to reverse quickly if they want to stay in the title race they’ve grown so used to.
Three leaders and a perfect week on the line
Solary delivered yet another explosive early-to-mid game, crushing GameWard in just 23 minutes. That’s a fourth win for them, coming right after Wesneday's defeat, which could’ve shaken them mentally, considering the organization has struggled with that in the past. In the next game, Panagiotis "Empyros" Tantis played the first-ever Warwick top in LFL history for Gentle Mates... but hit a wall against IJC, who secured their third straight win and seem to have found their groove this Spring.
Lee "Hans SamD" Jae-hoon himself seems quite confident in his team's current level. "We’re showing some weak points, like our mid-game mistakes. But if we keep playing more games, I think in the end, we can win EMEA—maybe in spring or summer," he told Sheep Esports during our interview last week. They’re still on track for the perfect super week if they can beat VITB tomorrow.
Joblife also re-entered the race at the top by taking down the defending Flash-In champions, who are struggling to recover the form they showed just a few weeks ago. Outclassed in teamfights by JL, the loss made sense—but it also highlights how impressive Joblife has been, especially considering their tumultuous offseason between splits.
Shining Bees
Karmine will need to quickly get back on track if they want to avoid slipping into a playoff battle—something that would be a first for them in the LFL. Galions regained some confidence by demolishing BDS Academy, grabbing their second win in five games. Meanwhile, VITB came out on top in the day’s headline matchup against BK ROG. Both teams have been in good form lately, but BKR’s topside was outplayed, and Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié shone on his Ahri.
So the big clash of the week between VITB and Ici Japon Corp is officially on. The two are the only undefeated teams this super week, but only one can stay perfect after Friday. They’ll face off around 7 PM, right after Joblife and Galions clash in the opening match at 6 PM. Meanwhile, Solary will face a struggling M8 to stay at the top of the charts, and KCB will try to bounce back against BDSA.
