Quid will remain on the North American organization.
Mid Laner Lim "Quid" Hyeon-seung is set to remain on 100 Thieves' starting line-up in the upcoming season of the League Championship Series (LCS), according to sources close to Sheep Esports.
Ready for More
Continuing his previous agreements with the North American organization, the South Korean mid laner is poised to continue his ongoing tenure into the 2024 season. Joining in May of 2023 to replace the now retired player Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg, Quid proved to be a valuable asset to 100 Thieves roster, despite disappointing results in the league.
During summer, the team struggled to establish its presence in the league, being unable to enter the upper half of the rankings throughout the group stage. Eventually, 100 Thieves would end the split's first stage in 8th place, narrowly securing a spot in the LCS Championship. Unfortunately, their playoffs run would prove to be plagued with the same inconsistencies as before, leading to the team's elimination during the first round of the bracket.
Earlier this week, reports indicated that 100 Thieves will also be recruiting former Golden Guardians jungler Kim "River" Dong-woo for its upcoming season. Together with Quid, the two players are set to form a powerful mid-jungle duo which is expected to form the team's fondations as it heads into 2024. The two South Korean players should bring stability and leadership for the rest of the team. As reported earlier this month, the organization is seeing its budget reduce amidst waves of layoffs. Following these news, the team is expected to build towards giving more spotlight to younger talents in 2024.
