JNX leaves SK Gaming after five years.
Toplaner Janik "JNX" Bartels has reached a verbal agreement with Team BDS Academy in the LFL, according to Sheep Esports sources. The Toplaner will be leaving SK Gaming after five years with the organization, as he was keen to join the LFL. The German Toplaner had talks with two other LFL teams.
Toplaner Onurcan "Ragner" Aslan was also considered by the Swiss organization, but he will be headed to Gentle Mates as reported by Sheep Esports. Enzo "SLT" Gonzalez was also considered for the position but will be joining Team Du Sud, this move was reported by Sheep Esports aswell.
The former Toplaner of Team BDS Academy, Tobiasz "Agresivoo" Ciba, is expected to join Aegis next year, according to our sources.
Five years with SK
JNX started his time with SK Gaming as a Midlaner. Back then, he was named Jenax. In the summer of 2019, he was promoted to the LEC team with a pretty good debut split. JNX then roleswapped the next year as a toplaner and filled that role for the LEC team during two years. This year, JNX played once again in the Prime League with the Academy team of SK Gaming.
Remaining for such a long time with one organization is quite rare in esports, but JNX will now be headed to a new organization in a new region.
