Where will Jensen play next year?
Dignitas' contract with Midlaner Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen is being terminated ahead of the new season, sources tell Upcomer on Saturday. Jensen's contract with the North American organization was set to run until the end of 2024.
Dignitas experienced a difficult year in the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS). Despite improving from a tenth-place finish in the Spring Split to seventh place in the Summer Split, these results fell short of the standards Jensen had come to expect over the years.
Indeed, the player held a phenomenal record of qualifying for the League Of Legends World Championship eight times in a row. However, with Dignitas failing to secure a spot in the international tournament, Jensen's streak came to an end.
Dignitas is in the midst of a comprehensive roster overhaul, as per sources from Sheep Esports. Their Jungler, Lucas "Santorin" Tao Kilmer Larsen, has already announced his retirement on X earlier this month.
It will be interesting to see where Jensen lands next year. Despite playing in NA since 2015, the player is of Danish nationality. This might allow him to have an easier time exploring his options on several continents.
