FlyQuest still have an import spot open
Jungler Kacper "Inspired" Słoma has acquired a green card. This means that the Polish player will be considered a North American resident for 2024. This move has already been approved by Riot, sources tell Sheep Esports.
This change carries substantial significance, given that teams participating in the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) are restricted to including only two imported players in their starting roster. The addition of the European Jungler to any North American team he chooses to join will not affect their compliance with this rule.
As report by Sheep Esports last week, Inspired will be playing for FlyQuest in the LCS. As a result, alongside Bwipo and Inspired, FlyQuest will gain the flexibility to field a third player from overseas. To reiterate, the anticipated FlyQuest roster for the upcoming year is as follows:
Top: Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau
Jungle: Kacper "Inspired" Słoma
Mid: ?
ADC: Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek
Support: Alan "Busio" Cwalina
While Inspired began his career in Europe, the Polish jungler made the move to Evil Geniuses in 2022 after spending two years in the LEC. He has now also been in the LCS for a two-year time span.
It's noteworthy that securing North American residency in just two years in the LCS is a relatively quick process. Recent examples include Midlaners Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage, who needed over three and a half years to obtain his green card. In contrast, Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen had to wait for two and a half years. Both successfully acquired their green cards in June 2022.
