Jacob "Icy" Lange has reached a verbal agreement with G2 Valorant, sources tell Sheep Esports on Wednesday. Icy will compete in VCT Americas as a rookie, as he has no tier 1 experience, he will be moving from the orgless together we are terrific to G2.

Penny and Aproto among the options

The american player will replace Michael "net" Bernet, he went through extended tryouts during which Erik "penny" Penny was the second while Alex "aproto" Protopapas was also considered.

Role-wise, Icy is playing in scrims as duelist role according to sources, meanwhile Nathan "leaf" Orf has been playing sentinels in scrims and will operate a change of role. Icy's arrival is set to be the only roster change G2 Valorant will make ahead of VCT Americas, the Berlin-based organisation will look to bounce back after a 5th place in their first VCT event in Valorant.
