With renewed vigor, the team signs two new players.
Swiss organization Team BDS Valkyries has finalized its roster for the upcoming 2024 Season. According to Sheep Esports sources, the team has reached agreements with top laner Sea, jungler Aly, mid laner Sashy, bot laner Nenris, and support Evalunna. Following the recent announcements of SK Avarosa, MAD Lions KOI, and the newly rebranded Vitality Rising Bees, BDS is one of many actors of the European ecosystem renewing its efforts in the rising women and non-binary scene. After a successful entry in 2023, the team aims for new heights this year.

Setting Sail Towards Greater Heights
Formed last year with little expectations as SeaPandas, the team impressed many in 2023. First entering triumphantly through the PATHFINDERS in May, the squad formed by relatively unknown players quickly rose as a major contender. Smashing through the tournament's qualifiers, the team easily reached as far as the tournament's semifinals.
Continuing its strong opening performances, the team was officially acquired by BDS in July. Throughout the year, the team would go on to beat several prominent actors of the scene, such as SK Gaming Avarosa, Team GO Aurora, or even G2 Hel.
Ending the Equal Esports Cup in third place and the Coupe des Étoiles in second position, BDS is now hungry to improve upon past results and achieve its first tournament win in 2024. Showing great potential, notably by winning the EEC 2nd Closed Qualifier and consistently achieving high placements, the team now wishes to retain some of its strongest assets while acquiring two new promising prospects.
Queens of the Valkyries
Competing together for a full year, the trio of top laner Nova "Sea" Jenčáková, mid laner Sasha "Sashy" Barrault, and support Eva "Evalunna" Fest are now set to lead the team into battle and leave a mark in the 2024 season.
While the three players racked up great experience together last year, the trio will be faced with new challenges, notably with the role-swap of former jungler Sashy. Despite earning success as a jungler, this move proves to be quite sensible when diving deeper into the player's profile. Having begun playing League of Legends around Season 6, Sashy has always primarily played mid lane before joining BDS as a jungler in 2023. Most known for her Zoe in the past, she is now set to return to her role of comfort in 2024, hoping to prove herself in a different setting.
For Sea and Evalunna, this season is expected to be business as usual. Coming off good performances, the two are now aiming to replicate their strong individual showings as they fulfill their roles as leaders for the Valkyries. Joined by coach Sebastian "Skyflap" Bauersachs and manager Joshua "BurntSanctuary" Keller, the trio will benefit from the same robust infrastructure as last year and should have all the tools necessary to uphold their past legacy.
New Contenders Take Arms
With Manon "Sha" Legaignoux moving to G2 Hel and Natalie "Stratospanda" Kristiansen heading to MAD Lions KOI, the team has been hard at work to find new players to fortify its 2024 roster, and what better addition than a champion and a promising prospect?
Coming in as the first newcomer to BDS, former SK Gaming German bot laner Nenris will be taking on a new tenure with the Valkyries. Marked by success in 2023, she achieved a 1st place finish in the Equal Esports Cup, crowning herself as one of the best ad carries in the entire female scene. While potentially one of her greatest achievements yet, Nenris has also proved proficient in her past tenures, competing for storied organizations such as Rogue, Nigma Galaxy, Movistar Riders, or even Grow uP Esports.
To wrap up the team's roster, the team is also set to bring on former Vitality jungler Aly. Though not achieving great success last year, the German jungler proved herself on the big stage as a promising member of the scene. Also known for her time with British organization Resolve, she previously played with several prominent members of the scene, such as CrowMac, Sha, and Stratospanda.
With a strong lineup of veterans and a thorough coaching structure, the BDS Valkyries are now poised to enter the new competitive season with a rekindled hunger for success.
