The roster is still looking for players in other positions
On October 26, famous German streamer Frederik “NoWay” Hinteregger announced on X the "end of NNO Prime." However, according to Sheep Esports sources, the soul of the team will remain in the Prime League, as one of its emblematic members, the jungler Muhammed “Agurin” Kocak, will retain the slot, building a roster around him and the AD Carry Jona “Reptile” Fritz. This new team taking over NNO's spot in the first division doesn't have a name yet.
According to Sheep Esports sources, NNO's direction is also planning to compete next year, but is considering playing in the lower divisions of Prime League.
Agurin joined NNO in 2021 when the team was competing in the second division under the name No Need Orga. He played a pivotal role in their success, winning the 2022 Summer Split and helping the team secure promotion to the Prime League’s first division.
The Last Dance
Following the promotion, the main team was renamed NNO Prime. Despite this success, the original roster—including Agurin and NoWay—did not compete in the Prime League the next season. They instead reunited at the end of 2023 for the Drututt Ultimate Showdown tournament, once again playing under the No Need Orga banner. Earlier that year, Agurin also stepped in to assist NNO Prime during the Up&Down matches after the team finished last in both splits. His efforts helped the organization maintain its spot in the first division.
On October 20, Agurin took what seemed like his final bow with No Need Orga, playing a match in the Prime League 3 Winter Season. Just six days later, the announcement of NNO Prime’s closure was made, and the team forfeited its three remaining matches. But the roster eventually played a last tournament together this season: the NNO Cup. Agurin and his teammates were eliminated last Monday by losing in the lower bracket against the Spanish team, Los Guarros.
NNO had already suffered a first defeat in the upper bracket against Marc "Caedrel" Lamont's team, Los Ratones. Yet, Agurin is making his return to the elite German league—where he hasn’t competed since 2020 with Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition.
Seeking For Redemption
For Reptile, this opportunity represents a chance for redemption. Once a rising star in the ERL circuit, Reptile won the NLC in Summer 2022 and the Prime League in Spring 2023. His momentum led him to join Fnatic’s academy for the LVP Summer 2023 split. However, his career took a dramatic turn. On the competitive front, Fnatic TQ endured a disastrous Summer Split, finishing 9th with a record of five wins and 13 losses. But the most damaging incident came off the Rift: Reptile was benched before the last two games after a clip surfaced showing the name of one of his supposed smurf accounts.
The following day, Fnatic announced they were parting ways with Reptile. In an apologetic statement, Reptile claimed the account was shared and that he was unaware of the summoner name change.
Although Reptile didn't join a team in 2024 following the controversy, he stayed active in the League of Legends scene by establishing himself as a growing streamer. The German botlaner recently hit an impressive milestone, reaching 50,000 followers on X. In an offseason where many ERL teams are shifting their focus toward content creation, Reptile’s unique profile as both a former professional player and content creator positions him as an intriguing asset for this newly formed team. Reptile is also currently playing at the NNO Cup in the team of Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski, making him ready for this next step.
In the meantime, Agurin and Reptile are still actively searching for players to fill the three remaining roles of the team: top, mid, and support.
