The veteran toplaner leaves GX, an organization he has been part of since 2023
Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu has parted ways with GIANTX by mutual agreement, effective immediately. This announcement comes as no surprise, as he was sidelined during the Summer Split, replaced by toplaner Antonio “Th3Antonio” Espinosa Bejarano.
The former head of XL leaves the organization
When Odoamne joined Excel Esports in 2023 in a roster that was stacked with experienced players, he was considered the head of the team. As the winner of the LEC with Rogue in 2022, he took the role of the solid and consistent toplaner in a team that struggled a lot before the Summer Split, where eventually, he would be part of XL's first ever playoffs appearance in the new triple-split format.
This departure is not a retirement, as Odoamne has announced his desire to keep on competing. Using his wide freetime to be frequently present on the LEC broadcast, Odoamne has stayed close to the League of Legends esports scene.
However, Odoamne's Winter Split was far from satisfying, and his Spring Split was a true disgrace to his very long career (10 years now). After Cloud9, H2K (a team with which he reached World Semi-finals in 2016), Splyce, S04, Rogue and Excel, the veteran toplaner looks to add another jersey to his collection, in a toplane ecosystem that should see many spots being opened, he should be an important part of the upcoming transfer window of the LEC.
