Quarterfinals feature only cross-conference matchups, played in a BO3 format in fearless draft
The Northern Conference (LTAN) and the Southern Conference (LTAS) of the LTA have completed their first round after just a few weeks of competition. This Monday morning, each conference narrowed down its teams, eliminating four, to set up the first regional clashes of the league.
What could be considered the main event and the true highlight of this new version of the American league, unifying the North and South, will kick off this Saturday, February 15. The playoff format is simple: the top four teams from the Northern Conference face off against the top four teams from the Southern Conference.
The eight qualified teams
LTA North:
- 100 Thieves
- Cloud9
- FlyQuest
- Team Liquid
LTA South:
- paiN Gaming
- Leviatan
- Isurus Estral
- LOUD
The bracket
The quarterfinals leave no room for intra-conference clashes, meaning we’ll get four brand-new matchups played in a Best of 3 format:
- 100 Thieves vs paiN Gaming (20h CET)
- Leviatan vs FlyQuest (23h CET)
- Cloud9 vs LOUD (20h CET)
- Isurus Estral vs Team Liquid (23h CET)

It’s worth noting that there is no loser bracket, and every match is an elimination game, played in fearless draft. Only the final will be played as a Best of 5, with the winner earning the right to represent their region at the first international tournament, the First Stand, which will take place in South Korea from March 10 to 16.
