Zeus is the only ZOFGK player to part with T1
T1 lose the final piece of their puzzle. T1 announced on Tuesday the departure of their toplaner, Choi "Zeus" Woo-je. At just 20 years old, the player is now regarded as one of the greatest toplaners of all time—if not the greatest—. He spent three and a half years with the world's most iconic esports team. His professional journey began with T1’s academy team in late 2019.
A year later, he was promoted to the main roster to compete in the Spring Split of 2021, replacing Canna, with whom he was vying for the starting position. Ultimately, Canna was favored for the Summer Split and the 2021 World Championship. However, with Canna's transfer to Nongshim RedForce at the end of the year, Zeus was named the starting toplaner for 2022—a move that marked the beginning of the now-legendary ZOFGK era.

With the God of Thunder now left, this is the end of the most dominant LoL era: ZOGFK were the back-to-back reigning world champions and appeared in three consecutive finals. This unprecedented feat is a first not just in League of Legends but in esports as a whole.
