Aurora has been either banned or picked on 100% of Worlds 2024 Swiss Stage games
Round Five of the Worlds 2024 Swiss Stage will kick off this Thursday. Only six spots remain for quarter-finals and they will all be on the line during Week 2, as the six remaining teams will be eliminated. To keep you warm, Sheep Esports has highlighted four key numbers from the 14th edition of League of Legends' most prestigious tournament after the first week.
15
Lee "Scout" Ye-chan holds the highest average KDA of the tournament after the first week with 15. This achievement is even more remarkable considering the midlaner was close to missing the event. He is followed by his LNG teammate Chen "GALA" Wei, who holds an average KDA of 12 as their team was the first to qualify for the Knockout Stage. The third place belongs to the midlaner of the second qualified team: Gen.G. Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon maintains his usual high standards with an average KDA of 11.2, just one decimal point above his AD Carry Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan (11.1).
15 is also the number of times Yone has been picked during Swiss Stage's first week. The Unforgotten was also banned 13 times, which means he lived up to his nickname by being forgotten in only two games out of 30 (93%). It is easy to understand why Yone has been so much prioritized when looking at his win rate: twelve wins for three losses. Interestingly, all these defeats were suffered by the three LEC teams (G2 Esports, Fnatic, MAD Lions KOI). However, Yone isn't even the most picked champion so far, as Rell has already been played 21 times (13W-8L).
83
83 is the best SE Ratings presented by Sheep Stats so far and it belongs to LNG's support Fu "Hang" Ming-Hang. Not only does the Chinese support record the highest average assists of the tournament with 15 per game and the best vision score per minute (4.2), but he also stands out from the players in his role with the best KDA (4.8). He is followed in SE Ratings by the impressive Sergen "BrokenBlade" Çelik (82). The G2 player also holds the best average KDA among all toplaners in the competition: 8.25.
21
The shortest game of Worlds 2024 has been recorded this Sunday, for Game 1 of MAD Lions KOI - GAM Esports. Even though the VCS champions won the series (2-1), MDK made them suffer their only loss in 20 minutes and 59 seconds. This game even entered the top 10 of the Worlds' shortest games by overtaking Dark Passage against Samsung White during Worlds 2014 (21:08). The top 1 still belongs to DAMWON as the Korean team closed out its series against G2 in a 19:03 fashion, at 2020 Worlds semi-finals. The longest game of Worlds 2024 also belongs to the LEC Champion so far, with its BO1 loss against Hanwha Life Esports lasting 45:40. On average, Swiss Stage games have lasted 33 minutes and 37 seconds.

The blue side / red side priority has always been an important topic in League of Legends tournaments. This year, the gap between both sides seems wider than ever, with the blue domination increasing to a 60% win rate (WR) throughout the first week of the Swiss Stage. The blue side, which allows a team to get the first pick, has always got the upper hand in terms of win rate since 2021 (51.8% at the time). At Worlds 2023, this same side had reached a peak never recorded since Season 1: 59.5% WR. If the side selection's meta doesn't evolve during the tournament, Worlds 2024 could well be recording the highest side's gap win rate ever, by exceeding "Worlds" 2011's 60.7%.
