EDward Gaming is the most successful team in LPL history, having secured a record six championship titles.
The League of Legends Professional League (LPL) is China's highest level of competitive LoL. It stands as the nemesis of the Korean league, the LCK. These two leagues are undeniably the best in the world, and the debate over which one reigns supreme is a constant topic of discussion.
Most Titled Team: EDward Gaming
The most decorated team in LPL history is EDward Gaming, boasting six league titles. These championships were claimed over the years with different rosters. Their dominance began in 2014, with a lineup featuring Tong "Koro1" Yang in the toplane, the legendary Ming "Clearlove" Kai in the jungle, Zeng "U" Long in the midlane, Zhu "NaMei" Jia-Wen as the AD Carry, and Feng "fzzf" Zhuo-Jun as support. This squad achieved a remarkable Spring-Summer double, securing EDG’s first two LPL titles.

2015 also started strong for EDG. The top-jungle duo remained unchanged, while in the midlane, U began sharing playtime with Heo "PawN" Won-seok. A brand-new botlane emerged, featuring a rising Korean talent, Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu, alongside a young Chinese prodigy, Tian "Meiko" Ye. This roster claimed the club’s third LPL title during the 2015 Spring Split and even won the 2015 MSI. Unfortunately for them, the Summer Split and Worlds didn’t go as well.
EDG went on to win the Summer Splits of 2016 and 2017, but they struggled to deliver on the international stage. They were eliminated from Worlds 2016 by the ROX Tigers in the quarter-finals and failed to make it out of the group stage in 2017. The common denominator in all five of EDG’s early titles was none other than Clearlove. The legendary jungler spent nearly six years as a player for the organization before transitioning to a coaching role in 2019. However, after a series of disappointing performances, he stepped down at the end of 2024.

After three years of struggle, where EDward Gaming faced considerable challenges in the LPL, 2021 marked a turning point. EDG became the best team in both China and the world, with Li "Flandre" Xuan-Jun in the toplane, Zhao "Jiejie" Li-Jie in the jungle, Lee "Scout" Ye-chan in the midlane, Korean ADC Park "Viper" Do-hyeon, and Meiko, who remained a constant presence at EDG. This roster not only secured the organization's sixth and most recent LPL title but also triumphed at the 2021 World Championship in Reykjavik.

EDG are closely followed by Royal Never Give Up, who have five LPL titles to their name (Spring 2016, Spring and Summer 2018, Spring 2021, and Spring 2022). JDG completes the podium with four titles, their first coming in Spring 2020, followed by their iconic back-to-back-to-back wins between Summer 2022 and Summer 2023.
Most titled Players: Xiaohu, Clearlove, and Knight
Unlike in the LCK, where Faker reigns supreme with unmatched dominance, the LPL's record is held by Clearlove, Li "Xiaohu" Yuan-Hao, and Zhuo "Knight" Ding, each with five championships to their name. These three players have won the most LPL titles since the league’s creation.
