The LCK Regular Season starts on April 2
The LCK has announced the start date for its next split. The league will resume on Wednesday, April 2, featuring South Korea's top ten teams battling it out to determine the new champion who will succeed Hanwha Life Esports, the recent winners of the 2025 LCK Cup and the 2025 First Stand.
The return of the competition will be an opportunity to witness an exciting opening match, as Riot Games, as usual, offers us a rematch of the last split's final with HLE vs. Gen.G kicking things off. Meanwhile, T1 will face DRX on Friday, April 4, while Dplus KIA will go up against BNK FEARX on April 3. It has also been revealed that the first Telecom War will take place on April 10, while T1 will face Choi "Zeus" Woo-je and HLE two days later on April 12.
New split, new format
As a reminder, the LCK has also switched to a three-split format this year, with this split officially marking the start of the season. The 2025 LCK Cup, which preceded it, is generally considered a separate tournament due to its somewhat unbalanced format, despite being quite entertaining.

The ten teams will compete in a Double Round Robin format, with all matches played as best-of-three. The top six teams advance to the Road to MSI, a playoff bracket where all matches are best-of-five. The top two teams start in the Upper Bracket, competing for direct qualification to MSI and EWC 2025, while the remaining four teams enter the Lower Bracket in a King of the Hill format.
All matches will take place at the LCK Arena in LoL PARK. The league also reminds viewers that ticket information is available in their FAQs, with tickets going on sale 48 hours before each match.
