Cube, Tianzhen, Karis, Taeyoon and Vampire join WE in the LPL

Team WE have completed their roster for 2025, combining existing synergy with youth. On the toplane, the Chinese organization is bringing back a familiar face in the person of Dai "Cube" Yi. Cube had already played for WE in the Summer Split 2023 before heading to Oh My God. At OMG, the Chinese player had a rather complex year, finishing 9th-10th in the Spring Split Playoffs before not playing in the Summer, leaving his place to Hery. At WE, he'll be back in the starting line-up, along with his jungler.

In fact, Guo "Tianzhen" Qi-Fan will be reforming part of Oh My God's topside by joining WE. His results last year were similar to those of Cube's, except that Tianzhen played in the Summer Split, finishing 11-13 in the Playoffs. The former OMG duo will be hoping to go for a better one in 2025 with their new team.

Continuing the youth trend, WE have recruited 19-year-old support Zhao "Vampire" Zhe-Can from Invictus Gaming. While IG are building an XXL roster for next year, the team's 2024 year was rather complicated, especially the Summer Split during which Vampire joined the team, finishing 11-13 in the playoffs.

Two young Korean imports

To complete their roster, WE import two Korean players. On the midlane first, Kim "Karis" Hong-jo leaves OK BRION and the LCK to join the LPL. After a series of complicated appearances in the LCK, with a roster playing at the bottom of the table year after year, Karis is hoping to relaunch his career in the LPL and put some light on his talent. To accompany him, he can count on a compatriot in the person of Kim "Taeyoon" Tae-yoon.

Like his new midlaner, the former Kwangdong Freecs ADC has spent the last two seasons between the LCK and LCKCL. After average results last season (7th and 5th place in the LCKCL), he's trying his luck in the LPL, one of the world's elite leagues. With this brand-new roster, WE hope to do better than their 7-8th place in the Spring Split Playoffs and 7th place in the group phase in the Summer.
