T1 Academy reach their first LCK CL final since the Spring Split 2021
T1 Esports Academy (T1.EA) and KT Challengers (KT.C) will face off in the grand final of the League of Legends Champions Korea Challengers League (LCK CL) on February 27 at 9 AM CET. T1.EA secured their spot after a hard-fought victory over DRX Challengers in the Lower Bracket Final, a BO5 where every game was won by the team on the Blue Side. Both teams played without their main AD carries, as Sin "Smash" Geum-jae and Trần "LazyFeel" Bảo Minh were called up to their LCK rosters for the LCK Cup. They were replaced by Moon "Guti" Jung-hwan and Noh "Alive" Jin-wook.
As a reminder, the group stage went smoothly for both T1.EA and KT Challengers, as the two teams from the Herald group dominated the Drake group teams and secured direct qualification for the playoffs. However, the playoffs have been smoother for KT.C, who have yet to lose a BO5, compared to T1.EA, who previously fell to KT.C in the Upper Bracket earlier in the competition.

KT Challengers remain the favorites in this final, as KT Rolster’s academy team has dominated the league since Spring 2024 and consistently promotes talent to the LCK, such as Han "Way" Gil joining the main roster and Byeon "Hype" Jeong-hyeon, who was loaned to OKSavingsBank BRION. Another standout player to watch is Yoo "Zinie" Baek-jin, a promising midlane talent in Korea.
