MOUZ announced on their social media that they are withdrawing from League of Legends. As a result, they will not compete in the German network next year and are bidding farewell to their roster. Without specifying the reasons, they stated that this is a pause, leaving the door open for a potential return in the future. Finishing last in the Summer Split, MOUZ had lost their spot in the Prime League for the 2025 season after being defeated in both of their matches against PRM2 teams during the promotion/relegation tournament.

This departurecomes as a minor earthquake in the ERL scene, at a time when the economic context is known to be more challenging than ever. An iconic club in the League of Legends ecosystem has decided to withdraw. After twelve years on the circuit and numerous LAN victories, the organization has struggled to perform in the Prime League in recent years. Their last title dates back to 2021, when they won the Prime League Winter Cup. Aside from that, they also participated in five Main Events of the EMEA Masters, the last being in Summer 2021, underscoring the organization's difficulties in remaining at the top of the table in recent years.

Beyond their competitive achievements, Mouz have been instrumental in nurturing European talent, with many players rising to prominence after their time with the organization. Notable examples include Rasmus "Caps" Winther and Elias "Upset" Lipp, who briefly played five games during the EUCS 2016 Qualifiers. The roster also featured Kacper "Inspired" Słoma for a full split in Summer 2018, Niklot "Tolkin" Stüber for over two years, and Adam "LIDER" Ilyasov in 2020. Additionally, MOUZ provided a stepping stone for Kamil "kamilius" Košťá before his move to the LFL and served as one of the final stops for Carl Ulsted "Carlsen" Carlsen in 2023, ahead of his upcoming debut in the LEC next year.
