After more than a month of near-daily competition, the group stage of LPL Split 1 concluded on Sunday, February 16. The top two teams from each of the four groups secured their spots in the playoffs. The group winners—Anyone’s Legend, ThunderTalk Gaming, JD Gaming, and Ninjas in Pyjamas—advanced to the upper bracket, while the runners-up—Top Esports, Weibo Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, and Invictus Gaming—will have to fight their way through the lower bracket, leaving them no margin for error.
This lower bracket features three of the top teams from the 2024 LPL Summer Split (BLG, WBG, and TES). The Worlds finalists from 2023 (WBG) and 2024 (BLG)—both defeated by T1—will face off in the first round. As in the group stage, the LPL Winter Split playoffs will be played entirely in a BO5 format with Fearless Draft. As a reminder, the winner of this split will qualify for First Stand, the year's first international event, set to take place in Seoul, South Korea.
