The first split of the 2025 Ligue française de League of Legends (LFL) season began on January 22. Dubbed "Flash In," this split is structured into three phases. The first is a group stage, where the ten teams are divided into two groups. Group A comprises Gentle Mates, GameWard, Joblife, Karmine Corp Blue, and Vitality.Bee, while Group B includes BDS Academy, BK ROG, Galions, Ici Japon Corp, and Solary. Each team competes against the other four teams in its group in a BO1 format. The lowest-ranked team in each group is eliminated, while the remaining four advance to the Swiss Stage. The Swiss Stage will be played in BO3 with Hard Fearless Draft: once a team plays a champion, it becomes unavailable for the rest of the series for both teams. A team will qualify for the playoffs after two wins, while two losses will result in elimination. In the opening round, the first seed from each group will face the fourth seed from the other group, while the second seed from each group will face the third seed from the other group. Subsequent matchups will be drawn between teams with identical records, with potential rematches allowed.

Playoffs will be played in BO5, using the Hard Fearless format

Four teams will advance to the playoffs: two teams with a 2-0 record and two with a 2-1 record. The two undefeated teams will face off in the upper bracket final, where the winner secures a spot in the Flash In Grand Final, while the loser falls to the lower bracket. Meanwhile, the two teams that qualified with a 2-1 record will play each other in the first round of the lower bracket. The loser will be eliminated, while the winner will advance to face the loser of the upper bracket final. The playoffs will be played in BO5, also using the Hard Fearless Draft format.

As a reminder, the winner and runner-up of Flash In will also secure a place in the season’s first EMEA Masters (EM). The LFL is one of only three ERLs awarded two slots at the Winter EMEA Masters, a privilege earned through France’s strong performances in two last seasons. In Summer 2024, BDS Academy claimed the EM title, defeating Vitality.Bee in the final—both LFL teams. The LFL also won the Summer 2023 edition, when Karmine Corp triumphed over Movistar Riders.
