The Arena will also host the first Challengers Day on April 8, on VALORANT
This is the annual gathering for League of Legends French league teams. LFL Days 2025 will take place on April 9 and 10 at the Arènes d’Évry-Courcouronnes, near Paris, as announced by the French league's X account on Monday. Since the event’s launch in July 2021, all ten organizations have met yearly for a LAN event to play one or two matchdays from a regular season week. In both 2022 and 2023, Webedia, the competition’s organizer, even hosted two editions per year.
Historically, however, LFL Days have not been widely traveled. Only three cities have hosted past editions: Aix-en-Provence for the inaugural event, but primarily Boulogne-Billancourt and Nice. In 2024, fan associations voiced their dissatisfaction by staging a protest on the sidelines of the event, criticizing both its timing—since the LFL is played on weekdays—and its location. For the third consecutive year, LFL Days were held at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice, in the far south of France, a venue that proved inconvenient for many supporters.
Karmine Corp's arena
This time, the choice of venue is particularly significant. Since last year, the Arènes d’Évry-Courcouronnes has served as the home stadium of Karmine Corp. The team, led by local native Kamel “Kameto” Kebir, is the resident club of this 3,000-seat arena. As a result, Karmine Corp Blue will be playing on home turf for both matchdays of the Spring Split. On the eve of the League of Legends event, the arena will also host the first Challengers Day on April 8, the VALORANT equivalent of LFL Days for France’s top-tier teams. Tickets for LFL Days will go on sale at noon on February 27, while ticket sales for Challengers Day opened this Tuesday, also at noon.
