KC, Fnatic and G2 share the Team of the Split
The LEC Winter Split 2025 has come to an end, with Karmine Corp emerging as the champions of Europe after a dominant victory over G2 Esports in the grand final. Several players excelled throughout the split, earning their spots in the Sheep Esports Team of the Winter Split.
The team features Sergen "BrokenBlade" Çelik in the toplane, Martin "Yike" Sundelin in the jungle, Vladimiros "Vladi" Kourtidis in the midlane, Elias "Upset" Lipp as AD Carry, and Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle as support. Vladi is named the MVP of the Split, while Rudy "SkewMond" Semaan is honored Rookie of the Split.
Topfather: BrokenBlade
The Turkish toplaner had an outstanding split, easily establishing himself as G2’s most consistent player. BrokenBlade took on a bigger role within his team’s gameplay, proving he can effectively play as a weakside while transitioning into an unkillable frontline during the midgame. He also demonstrated the ability to completely dismantle his lane opponents when playing Warwick or Cho'Gath.
Throughout the split, Topfather showcased an impressively deep champion pool, playing twelve different champions—including some unique picks—while remaining reliable and effective with standard choices like K’Sante and Ornn. Even in defeats, BrokenBlade was rarely the one to blame, as he remained consistent throughout the split. For the past few years, he has been unquestionably the best toplaner in Europe, so it’s only fitting to see him earn a spot in this Team of the Split.
The jungle tree: Yike
Yike made a seamless transition to Karmine Corp. Moving from G2 to another team is never easy and often comes with doubts, but the Swedish jungler has silenced any skeptics. He proved he wasn’t just benefiting from his former solo laners but was a key player in his own right. His dominance in finals continues—he remains undefeated in every LEC final he has played, now securing his eighth European trophy.
His champion pool was another major strength, with 13 different picks throughout the split, showcasing his adaptability and deep understanding of the game. Beyond his gameplay, Yike brought invaluable experience and a winning mentality to Karmine Corp, helping the team remain composed under pressure and ultimately secure the title.
Midlane Goblin king: Vladi
If there is one standout player from the Winter Split 2025, it is Karmine Corp's midlaner, Vladi. In just his second LEC split, he's already proving himself as one of the best. He opened the split on Viktor against Rasmus "Caps" Winther and closed it the same way, delivering consistently flawless performances.
His impact was undeniable as he dictated the pace of games and stepped up when it mattered most. With such a strong showing, he has firmly established himself among the league’s top midlaners. Capping off his breakout split, he was named Most Valuable Player—an honor rarely achieved by an (almost) rookie, with only Caps delivering comparable performances in his early days.
AD Carry: Upset
Though stats don’t capture the whole story, Upset’s numbers speak volumes. He finished the split with a league-best 8.2 KDA, far ahead of his closest rival, Steven "Hans Sama" Liv, at 5.4, while also leading all botlaners in kill participation at 75%. His regular season was nothing short of exceptional—his positioning was flawless, and his team fighting was both precise and controlled. Even as Fnatic faced difficulties in the playoffs, Upset remained a rock for his team. And when their run ended against KC, he delivered a standout performance, leaving little more he could have done to help Fnatic claim victory.
Supporting at its finest: Mikyx
Fnatic's botlane was the best in the LEC during this split, playing a crucial role in the team's success until their elimination against Karmine Corp. Mikyx demonstrated a crucial role in Fnatic’s dominance during the regular season, proving that he still has plenty to offer and that the organization was right to bring him in. The former G2 support showcased incredible adaptability and synergy with both Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz and Upset, consistently enabling his ADC to gain early advantages in lane and take control of games from there.
Rolling Over the LEC: SkewMond
Even though he didn't make the Team of the Split or win the LEC, G2’s new jungler fully deserves his Rookie of the Split title. Filling the shoes left by Yike was no easy task, and while not everything was perfect, SkewMond's performances were more than solid given the expectations surrounding him.
He finished the split with the highest KDA among junglers (5.5) and also recorded the most kills in a single game—on Pantheon against Fnatic in playoffs. Bright days lie ahead for the French jungler, and trophies seem well within reach.
