Rogue has been eliminated after losing to SK, leaving the final day's games solely for seeding
Rogue’s journey in the LEC 2025 Winter Split has come to an early end. After a tough season, the team has officially been eliminated from the competition, marking a disappointing start to the year.
The team's hopes were slim but not entirely gone as they needed to secure victories against SK Gaming and Movistar KOI to have a shot at a tiebreaker. However, those hopes were quickly shattered in the opening game of the eighth day of the LEC. The two bottom-tier teams faced off in a match that held no stakes for SK but was crucial for Rogue—and it showed. Unburdened after their elimination against BDS, SK played with no pressure, asserting dominance across the map. On a commanding Wukong, Ismaïl "ISMA" Boualem led his team to their first win of the season, dragging Rogue down with them.
Rogue's offseason came late, with a roster built around the ever-present Emil "Larssen" Larsson, featuring Adam "Adam" Maanane in the toplane, the return of Kim "Malrang" Geun-seong to the jungle, and a botlane of Patrik "Patrik" Jírů and Lee "Execute" Jeong-hoon, who never quite managed to find their rhythm.
Larssen in trouble
Only the topside showed glimpses of brilliance throughout this short split, with Adam’s performance on Jayce against G2 Esports standing out, often left to carry the team on his own. Larssen's performances during this Winter Split have been deeply disappointing, with the Swedish midlaner struggling to regain the form he had in 2022. The team will have to put in extra work to present a better face and stop the organization's elimination streak in the Spring Split this March.
With the two teams eliminated from the Winter Split now known, the matches played on February 3 still hold significance for seeding, as the eight other teams who already secured their spots in the playoffs will try to get the best spots for the next stage. Meanwhile, Fnatic remain at the top of the LEC standings with a record of seven wins and one loss, further asserting their dominance in the Winter Split.
