DRX won three out of four matches with LazyFeel
Park “Teddy” Jin-seong has finally recovered. After suffering from a severe flu that required hospitalization, the AD Carry was sidelined for the first two weeks of the LCK Cup. However, he is set to return this Friday for DRX’s match against Hanwha Life Esports, according to the match sheet shared on X by South Korean journalist Ashley Kang, which includes the former T1 player's name.
In total, Teddy missed four matches. He was ably replaced by DRX Academy ADC Trần “LazyFeel” Bảo Minh, who made history by being the first foreign player ever to compete in the LCK. The Vietnamese player immediately convinced the public with an impressive debut, helping DRX secure a victory against OK BRION. His performance in Game 2 earned him the Player of the Game title.
Secure the top-three
Despite DRX's 0-2 loss to T1, LazyFeel ended his LCK stint with a positive record before returning to the academy. DRX claimed victories in its other two matches with him as a substitute, defeating Freecs (DNF) and FearX. With a 3-1 record, DRX therefore played a key role in the Elder Group’s triumph over the Baron Group in the opening phase of the LCK Cup.
Even before the final week’s five remaining matches, DRX’s group had already secured its position as the “Winner Group” in the Group Battle, with 13 wins to seven losses. As a result, DRX, along with the other Elder Group teams (Dplus, Gen.G, KT Rolster, and Nongshim RedForce), has advanced to the next stages of the tournament. The team’s next challenge will be securing a top-three finish within the Elder Group, which would grant direct entry into the playoffs. Otherwise, DRX will have to go through an additional qualification phase.
