The first day of the EMEA Masters Winter 2025 group stage is over, and everything went as expected. The top teams secured their wins and advanced to the qualification match, while the losers will face an elimination BO3. The two group winners will face off today at 8 PM CET for a spot in the Knockout Stage, while the losers will play an elimination BO3 at 5 PM CET to stay alive and then face the other team, which will also be in a 1-1 situation.

In Group A, TCL champions Papara SuperMassive (SUP) dominated Zero Tenacity (Z10), with a bloody Game 2 where the Turkish squad racked up 43 kills in just 25 minutes. An "FIESTA" Hyeon-seo shined on Taliyah, finishing 13/2/16. The second match saw Geekay (GK) take down Barça eSports 2-0, as the breakout team from EMEA Spring 2024 started their campaign strong. SUP will face GK for a spot in the Knockout Stage, while Z10 must defeat Barça to stay alive in the competition.

In Group B, LFL runners-up Ici Japon Corp (IJC) defeated Stéphane "Manaty" Dimier and Team Phantasma (TP) 2-1, making it one of the two BO3s to go the full three games. Berlin International Gaming (BIG) won 2-0 against Crvena Zvezda Esports (CZV) and will now face IJC. CZV and TP will compete to avoid elimination.

KCB-LR for a playoffs spot

Los Heretics, our tournament favorites, cruised past ZennIT Gaming (ZNT), with neither game lasting more than 30 minutes. They will now take on Macko Esports, who defeated FlameHard. The Portuguese league champions will face ZNT in the losers' bracket.

In the final group of this EMEA Masters, Los Ratones (LR) defeated NightBirds (NBS) 2-0, with Simon "Baus" Hofverberg playing Vi in the toplane, finishing 7/8/5 in a game that lasted over 50 minutes. Karmine Corp Blue won 2-1 against E WIE EINFACH E-SPORTS (EWI) and will face LR in what seems to be the most anticipated match of Day 2. EWI will need to beat NBS in a BO3, where they are favored, to avoid elimination.
