The EMEA Masters Winter becomes the fourth tournament in terms of peak viewership in 2025
Los Ratones claimed the EMEA Masters Winter Split 2025 title with a dominant clean sweep over Ici Japon Corp Esport in the grand final. The series didn’t last long, and the suspense quickly faded, but that didn’t stop Marc "Caedrel" Lamont and various streams from breaking the all-time EMEA Masters viewership record, previously held by the 2021 final between Karmine Corp and BT Excel. The BO5 peaked at over 480,000 viewers, with nearly 290,000 tuning in on Caedrel’s stream alone. This makes EMEA Masters Winter the fourth most-watched LoL event of 2025 so far, excluding Chinese platforms.
Another interesting fact from these EMEA Masters: Los Ratones appears in four of the five most-watched matches, with the grand final leading the way. Their semifinal victory against Team Phantasma and the elimination of Papara SuperMassive complete the podium. Their group stage match against Karmine Corp ranks fourth, with just under 300,000 viewers—once again, the majority tuning in via Caedrel’s stream.

Caedrel’s impact on the League of Legends ecosystem is massive, and not just within European competitions. Even before founding his NLC team, the British streamer peaked at over 370,000 viewers during the T1 vs. Gen.G semifinal at Worlds 2024, reshaping viewing habits and further legitimizing co-streaming as an alternative to official broadcasts. The visibility he brings to LoL esports is a blessing for Riot Games, which has embraced co-streaming, as seen at the First Stand, where they granted access to around 60 streamers worldwide.
