After a year of exile in the LPL, Seo "Deokdam" Dae-gil is returning to the LCK with KT Rolster for 2025. The organization announced the player's arrival on its social media this Wednesday.

KT Rolster on a near-complete rebuild

Following a disappointing year despite assembling a roster of star players, KT Rolster are now turning to fresh talent in hopes of reversing their fortunes. Indeed, the lineup built around Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong at the start of 2024 fell short of expectations, finishing fifth in both splits and missing out on Worlds qualification after losing the fourth seed to T1 in the Regional Finals. Now the current offseason has brought significant changes again as Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu retired for mandatory military service, Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee returned to Dplus KIA, and Hong "Pyosik" Chang-hyeon signed with KDF.

Once again, Bdd is one of the few players remaining on the roster after signing a new contract through the end of 2026, while toplaner Lee "PerfecT" Seung-min, who was promoted from the LCK CL roster this year, is contracted until the end of 2025. Earlier today, KT also announced the promotion of support Han "Way" Gil to the main roster, who also comes from the LCK CL team. With Deokdam confirmed as the fourth player, he brings valuable experience to the botlane.

The 24-year-old has a solid career, having played for Team Dynamics (now renamed Nongshim RedForce), where he helped them secure their spot in the league in late 2020 and spent his first year in the LCK with them in 2021. He then joined Damwon Gaming KIA, where he made his first and only Worlds appearance reaching quarters. In 2023, he played for DRX, but had a difficult year, being relegated to the Challengers team in the Summer. Seeking a return to the major leagues, he joined FunPlus Phoenix in the LPL, though the team struggled to break out of the mid-tier.
