Faker Named Player of the Year, T1 Crowned Team of the Year
This Thursday marked the first-ever League Awards, an event created by Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere and Marc "Caedrel" Lamont. Held in person in Berlin, the ceremony honored the players, teams, creators, and content that shaped the League of Legends scene over the past year. The event was also broadcast live on Caedrel's Twitch channel, attracting an average of just under 30,000 viewers for a nearly three-hour show.
The evening featured numerous award winners, nominees, and special guests who presented the honors. As a reminder, 70% of the votes for the League Awards were cast by observers and professionals within the League of Legends scene, while the remaining 30% came from public votes.
