After beating OK Brion in a close BO3 on Sunday, KT Rolster secured three spots in the playoffs of the LCK Cup for the Group Elder. As a reminder, the ten LCK teams were split in two groups (Elder and Baron). Each will face the five teams from the opposite group, the one with the most wins will be designated the “Winners Group”.

The top three teams from this group advance directly to the playoffs, while the bottom two teams in the Winners Group and the top four in the Losers Group proceed to the play-in round. The last-place team in the Losers Group will be eliminated from the LCK Cup.

13-7 with five matches remaining

KT's win increased Group Baron's score to 13, making it impossible to comeback to the Group Elder. Since they only managed to win seven of their games, and there are only five games left in the Cup, the eliminated team has to be from the group with Hanwha Life Esports and T1, respectively the reigning LCK champion and reigning Worlds champion.

For now, Dplus Kia is the only team that secured a spot in the playoffs, they are really performing at their best, particularly Jeon "Siwoo" Si-woo. The 17 years old new toplaner is giving satisfaction, standing up to reputed players as Choi "Zeus" Woo-je or Choi "Doran" Hyeon-jun.

The upcoming matches are still important to determine final seeding for Play-Ins and Playoffs. FearX, Freecs and Brion are the teams that are most in danger, especially the BNK FearX who still haven't unlocked their win score.

T1 vs Gen.G will take place on Saturday 1st February at 7:00 CEST, yet another confrontation for Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon, enjoy it while it lasts.
