Faker celebrates his 1000th LCK game with a victory
It was a quick day in the LCK today. Things kicked off with BNK FearX securing yet another win against a direct competitor, sweeping DRX 2-0. The spotlight then shifted to the telecom war between T1 and KT Rolster, which also marked Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok’s 1000th LCK game. T1 came out on top with a clean 2-0, moving to a 2-1 record in the standings.
A team finally finding its stride
Jeon "Raptor" Eo-jin secured his second straight MVP after another standout performance, following FearX’s win over OK Savingsbank BRION. In Game 1, the spotlight was on the botlane where Kim "Kellin" Hyeong-gyu delivered a clean game on Rakan. FEARX maintained control from start to finish, executing their draft flawlessly around 17-year-old AD carry Nam "Diable" Dae-geun, who continues to impress in his debut split.
Game 2 looked more promising for DRX, especially after a favorable fight around the drake. But FearX quickly turned things around with a well-coordinated engage led by Raptor and an excellent teamfight from Song "Clear" Hyeon-min, who dismantled DRX’s mid-jungle duo. With this win, FEARX move to 2-1 in the standings and continue to make a strong case as one of the early surprises of the split.
All roads lead to him
This morning marked Faker’s 1000th LCK game, and from his very first to this milestone moment, one thing has remained constant: winning. Game 1 was a textbook snowball from T1, who gave up only three deaths en route to a dominant win. Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun dictated the pace from start to finish, feeding kill after kill to returning AD Carry Sin "Smash" Geum-jae. Playing Kai’Sa, Smash ended the game with a flawless 14/0/5 performance, while Ryu "Keria" Min-seok’s unconventional Gragas support created multiple openings that led T1 to a crushing 23-3 victory.
Game 2 saw a bit more resistance from KT Rolster, but mid-season roster changes take time to gel—and facing T1 is hardly the place to look for your first win and Keria had a standout performance on Rakan once again, showcasing excellent synergy with his jungler and securing the MVP of the series.. KT now drop to 0-3, and alarm bells should be ringing before the season slips too far from their grasp.
Tomorrow, the match between OKSavingsBank BRION and DN Freecs will guarantee a first win for one of the winless teams, while the other drops to a troubling 0-4. At the top of the standings, Gen.G and Nongshim RedForce will face off to decide who joins Dplus KIA among the early leaders of the split.
