IJC reach the LFL grand final in their first split and qualifies for the EMEA Masters
The LFL is nearing its conclusion and has already determined its two qualifiers for the EMEA Masters Winter. Indeed, Ici Japon Corp (IJC) defeated Solary 3-1 in the lower bracket final and will face Karmine Corp Blue in the league's grand final. The two teams meet again after their previous clash in the upper bracket final, where KCB secured a dominant 3-0 victory.
The "team d'amis" has fallen. After a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Galions in the previous round, they achieved their best-ever finish in the LFL, securing 3rd place for the first time in their history. This marks the club’s most promising start to a season yet.
Hans SamD, the clutch factor
Meanwhile, Ici Japon Corp is also making history, continuing their meteoric rise in the French circuit. After winning both Div2 splits last year and claiming victory in the Up&Down tournament at the expense of AEGIS, they have now reached the LFL grand final in their very first split. Their journey is even more impressive given that the roster underwent a complete reconstruction during the last offseason, with the arrival of Lee "Hans SamD" Jae-hoon standing out as a key factor in their success.
Some are already comparing their trajectory to Karmine Corp’s entry into the LFL in 2021, when they won both the LFL and EMEA Masters in their debut split. But for now, there’s still a final to be won—this Thursday at 6 PM CET against KCB. It’s their chance to avenge their last matchup and carve out their legacy.
